In 1999, Beaver County entered in to a contract with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide behavioral health services to residents of the county who are eligible for Medical Assistance benefits.  The county has had a contract with Value Behavioral Health of PA to assist in the provision and oversight of these services. 

 

     The goals of the program are to improve the accessibility, continuity and quality of services while controlling the program’s rate of cost increases.  It is recognized that coordination of services is critical when providing care for individuals with mental illness and/or addictive disorders.  Coordination with other systems has been enhanced to better serve members and their families in Beaver County.
